Hello Everyone, I am trying to find a list of the issue prices for the 1986 to present bullion\uncirculated Silver Eagles. Is there a web site that shows the issue prices? I have bought a few over the years but apparently did not record what I paid for them from the mint. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
I haven't tried to confirm these, but I was able to locate some pricing (through 2008) on the web. http://www.coinnews.net/coins/the-american-eagle-silver-coin-history-design-prices-and-mint-figures/
Bullion... depends WHEN you bought them and what the premium over spot was, which might differ based on whom you bought from and how much you bought per sale. Remember the dates or near? Then try Historical Silver Charts on Kitco. LINK
Thanks jmon and krispy for the quick responses. I am not seeing the actual issue prices for what I am looking for but I will do more searching on the links you provided and if I find the information I will post it here for future reference. Thanks again!
Ahh, I overlooked the bullion price point. That would be, like Krispy said, based on spot at the time of purchase and the dealer/seller's markup or premium on each coin. Other than looking up the historical spot and speculating on markup and date of purchase, I cannot think of a way you could find out. One remote chance - would you recall who you bought them from and have paid by check, credit card or debit card? If so you might be able to refer back to old statements to find some of the prices.
When the ASE began the price to the distributors for the bullion pieces was spot + $1, later it went to spot + $1.50 and currently it is spot +$2. Unfortunately I don't know the dates of the price changes.
