I had never seen this set before and had to add it to my proof set collection. Now I have to get the others. I now have seen 2005, 2007 & 2008 on ebay. Are there any other years? I didn't see any listed in a quick check of the Red book.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this set only lasted 2005-2008. It was very short-lived because it was overpriced at $135.00 when it was first issued in 2005. When you break down the cost, the paperboard housing the set cost about $90.00. Yeah, I was one of the suckers who fell for it in 2005, and I still have the four sets that I bought from the Mint.

I paid a lot less on the secondary market, just like regular proof sets from that era go for less than issue. It looks like ebay has them for $60-90 a set. I paid $65 at my LCS.

They ran for four (4) years from 2005-2008. They can be found in the Red Book under the U.S. Government Sets section at the end of the Commemorative section...somewhere near Page 357.

The 2006 set is listed at $90.

I got all of the sets back in the day. I know I got 'skunked' with the price of each, but I wanted them........[just goes to show how you can save some marbles if you're patient]
