What is a good price for an American Eagle Dollar? I found someone that are selling some and they are wanting $20 for each of them. Good price?

Go. You can still sell them for more than that all day long.

    Follow up from previous posts:

I ended up buying the collection from the lady. I met the party in a neutral location, inspected the coins and agreed on an amount.

    Here's what I got:
24 American Eagle Silver 1-Oz Coins (All coins are in uncirculated condition; various dates from 1986-2007)
    4 Peace Dollars (1922, 1925)
    2 Franklin Halves
    4 Walking Liberty Halves
8 Rolls of Early Jefferson Nickels (from 1939-1969...including 7 war Nickels)

    I paid $575 for the coins. How'd I do?

    You did well my friend!

You came out under spot on the silver stuff and basically the nickels were free. Check the nickels for the 50Ds, the 39D, and any of the war nickels with a big mint mark over the dome of the Monticello. The war nickels are more silver and you can usually fetch $5-$10 on those 'key date' nickels from 50D and 39D

Thanks. There were no 50D or 38 or 39 with mintmarks. However, as I said in my previous post, I was able to pull out 7 war nickels including a 1944S...low mintage of the War series. Now, I have to decide whether I want to keep the American Eagles as part of my collection or try to turn it around for a quick profit. Regardless, I think it was a good investment.

Start the collection of ASEs if they are all 'business' strikes and not proofs. They look really nice in a Dansco that way. This is the route I went with mine. Instead of randomly having a tube with mixed up jumbled up dates I now have an album filled with all of the dates minus the proof issues.

Sell or trade the extras to fill in the gaps.

A quick sale wouldnt be bad either, you could realistically probably get $25 for them and make like a $100 off of them. Either way you win my friend!
