wiped it off!!! why??? don't you read about how to handle coins and how not to clean them? tsk-tsk. you need to repost images of the coin. do you have a Red Book? or look at Heritage or TeleTrade auctions to see what graded coins like this sell for? Have a look around, there are lots of these out there to judge for yourself the value. If you get stuck ask some questions about it here.

Well, the finger print still shows on the coin. don't wipe it anymore. but it may be there for eternity now. it will contribute to devaluing your coin as it is immediately noticeable and distracting to eye appeal and condition.

krispy, krispy, krispy, settle down he's just trying to find out is all.

That is very common on here (Coin Talk), people just want to learn and do not always know when/where to start.

BHP, when you can finally bring something of topic to the threads then respond.

Hear, hear! Until everyone knows everything about coins like krispy they should refrain from posting anything. He has the cashiers don cotton gloves before they count out his change, don't you know, and had his fingerprints surgically removed. :D

Wow we have some crabby campers. Nobody is answering the question?
This coin is a popular modern collectible. You can find price guides that give it a value of $250 or so. But in reality nobody pays that. One plus is it does have the COA.
So considering the cleaning and fingerprint I would estimate the value at $125 to $160. I saw two of them for sale recently and both were slabbed and graded. One was PCGS and the other ICG. Both were priced at $175.
There, an attempt to answer the question which is what we are here for.

    How this

krispy I predict one day we will be good buddies but until then you will be called on your stuff.
I, IMO bring something to every topic or thread I contribute to. It is not up to you to tell me if I'm on topic or not, the meaning of my posts, or whether they be valid or not. In case you forgot this is only a coin forum not the Supreme Court or anything else that will change the course of history. It's about coins and coin collecting.

Why when you yourself tells someone on here this very day,
"Hey! Look it up don't just wonder about it!"
how can you possible think that my posts are negative or off topic is a true mystery to all. I am beggining to think that the very things that you blasted me about are the very things that you do more often than I ever have.
I think you may be well out of your league here and do not know who you are speaking with or about so I will tell you.

I am the current owner/operator of "The Knoxville Coin Show". The longest running monthy one day show in the nation for 29 years.
I have always given free coins, currency and medals to every child or YN that comes in the show - I've done dozens of more coin talks/presentations for school/scout troops. I have am a die variety specialist who has contributed to Ken Potter, John Wexler, and Billy Crawford's files. I have found well over 100 new die varieties and well over 10,000 copies of known die varieties. More often than not I have given many BU coins of found die varieties free to the above attributors just to further knowledge of our hobby.
I have been in Coin World a few times and and have contributed to most know souces of die varieties publications that are in print today. I have written articles for publication several times. I have been a dealer now for 10 years also.
I regularly search about 5000 Lincoln cents each week. I have found 45% of all the big Cherry Pickers coins currently known. I help folks each and every day get started or stay involved in coin collecting. I help older folks get the most for thier collections when I can or least get more than they would have got. I know over 100 dealers from across the south. I have had personal (email, phone) contacts with Q. David Bowers, Margois, Weinburg, Potter, Wexler, Crawford, Coppercoins, Coneca, Bill Fivas, and dozens more I cannot now remember.
I have personally sent free BU doubled dies to several Cointalk members just to help them learn. I even go so far as to actually throw away mechanical/machine doubled BU coins so has to keep them from reaching eBay or some newcommer to the hobby so they will not be fooled by these.
Now I tell you these things so you will now know who you are speaking with and to also explaine that my before mentioned remarks about the true importance of coins verses humanitarian issues really is who I am.
Now I will admit right off I am grandious, have a giant ego, and are often wrong - I am human and I am now old and often tired. But, I know of just a few others in this hobby that have given any more than I have and continue to generally for free.
Do not mistake who I am and do not tell me how to post, what to post when to post are why I should or should not post. I commented on that thead yesterday because that is my believe re-garding Govt. Officials - my beliefs are mine and I can express them anytime I want. I do not have time for Govt. Officials in any form because life is very short and they are without morals for the most part and not worth any longer effort on my part. I have lived long enough to know what is real and valuble and what is not. I have been in recovery for addiction now for over 19 years - I have spent over 20 years in the therapist chair. Have and still do "keep passing the open windows" for now anyway. I have seen many young people die to soon and many more than that be lost to the abiss forever.
I lived though the 1960's and 1970's although I do not remember them very well at all - I took more drugs than any of my doctors in treatment had ever heard of before from a single person - I drank a case of beer each night for a quarter of a century.
Now all this coupled with my father dying on Nov. 21, 2009 may certainly have colored my comments lately - I would not be a bit surprised if that were not true. Additionally my mother commited suicide in 1974 so now all are gone.
But ask yourself krispy, have I done the above?, have I seen what he has? have I given what he did? do I do what he does? do I know who he is? The answer is you cannot know what I have seen or how it has affected me or what colors my world as I cannot for you.
Do not tell me what, how or when to write ever again and if I did the same to you I am sorry - it is often the ones that bother us the most that are so much like ourselves.
I've paid my dues and am intitled to express myself in here, please be mindful of that from this moment forward.

Again, another "off topic" post in this thread that enjoys jumping on the beat-down wagon and manages to be sarcastic while incorrectly suggesting that I made any claims to knowing 'everything about coins'. :D

One tends to throw out things that are FreezerBurned as they are damaged goods.

perhaps that we will :) as I said many times to you I am not angry nor mean you any harm in my comments. I don't mind being called on stuff either. It's part of the forum.

Quite right it is an opinion, of yours.

It is when you derail or defame.

Precisely, which is why you get called for slamming govt. officials and big govt. instead of addressing the topic of a given thread related to coins and collecting, just as I corrected you in another thread yesterday, and yet, you persist, now citing the Supreme Court per example.

Not at all. I suggested that instead of relying upon others for information that the OP do a little research first, provided a reference guide to start with, as many others here do with the Red Book for beginners, then provided a link and image to the edition the OP may wish to acquire. I also encouraged the OP to return to the thread with questions after doing a little reading and research.

    That's your opinion speaking again.

I know much of this about you already because I have read many of your posts in which you feel the need to cite your lengthy experience and expertise quite often, which is precisely why I said in the other thread about ASE/AGE product cancellations this year that, "I don't really give a hoot in this thread what kind of 'expert' you are or how many years under your belt you have collecting."

Thanks for your admission. Not many will cite their ego in these discussions. I admire that you have.

I won't buy you still haven't addressed the OP in that thread, only brought your own topic and beef to the fore by hijacking that thread and now you have followed me here to do the same. So I WILL and AM telling you again, as you say 'calling you on your stuff'.

I am very sorry for your losses and the difficulties you have experienced. I wasn't necessary to divulge all of this here but I am honored you are this open to speak about it.

If you have a topic on govt. you wish to express yourself on then open up a thread on it. I don't understand why it only manifests itself through others' coin topics here. I am open to listening to everyone's point of view, but to a full degree the things you have been expressing in these threads we have been going back and forth on, have not addressed the OP.

I think there is a lot of truth in what you said here and I actually do enjoy discussing this with you. I do not profess to know you in full as you point out but as I disclaimed in the other thread, this forum is narrowly defined by aspects of coin & currency topics. In that thread you had strayed from that to express opinions on govt. institutions and govt. officials. You then shifted into a humanitarian topic proclaiming issues far more important than coin collecting and the cancellation of a few Mint products this year. You didn't need to crush the OP and others who were hopeful and actually attempting to take action writing letters to elected officials to maintain the Eagle program and products.

Please know that I am mindful of this for all members always. I even stated in my other thread and again in this thread that I mean no one any harm. I can take my ribbing and being called on stuff, so should we all.

    Peace, BHP

Can't you guys take this private? Again nobody is answering the question.
Why must you both hijack an innocent thread for your own personal war?
    Any mods following this?

Actually, Victor I was addressing the thread previous to the last few replies.

I'm quite through with this topic here myself. Sorry for the interruption.
