while going thru my mothers things after her passing,i just found 2 velvet boxes, inside each is coin,a standing liberty on one side, and the eagle on the other,,they are dated1991.1992,,,the reverse side says,1 oz,finesilver,1dollar,,the boxes had sleeves that say, american eagle,,worth much more than the silver?

Well...photos would help but I would guess that they would be worth $8-$10 each.
    That is just a guess.

Velvet boxes suggest they could be proof coins. Are they just white and really shiny, or like mirrors with the deisgn a matte white color?

If they are proof, they are worth a bit more.
