Am I seeing things or is there doubling?

    There's something there alright. Question is, is it mechanical doubling ? Can't say based on those pics.

    Yeah from further research I understand it's mechanical or machine doubling. Was kind of neat though I've searched many rolls in my day and never anything. LOL

    most likely die erosion.

    Not doubling, at least in the sense of a douled die.

    It looks like a figment of the photograph, or strike/mechanical doubling at best.
