Looks genuine to me. The picture may have been run through imaging software. Don't think I'd bid on it though as that one looks pretty beat up. The '81-S is commonly found in high grade and often Proof Like. I've seen much nicer examples sell regularly for around $40.
paul, what lead you to think it was altered or fake? I agree with doug that it looks genuine, but rather ugly for such an easy date to find in nice condition (MS64+)
I think its the lighting. The hair looks like its been tooled below the ear. Probably just how it was photographed. Thanks for the input, as always
