These got BD and on the auction pictures there is none..time for a complain..sorry they are so shining buggers difficult to make a picture.
The first coin is a great coin type and your example is better than most. The "in hand" picture would probably look better if you took it in the palm of your hand- all the skin tends to absorb the light, and the coin doesnt tend to be as bright.
Thats too bad about the BD, I would send them back too, especially if they weren't in the photos when bought.
Are you sure it is BD? It might not be. What are the coins made of? Have you picked at the green stuff, does it come off?
Look at it under magnification. Take a pin and gently stroke the green stuff. If it doesn't move, it is not BD. I have a recipe that will get rid of the green stuff.
I can see the green in one of the pictures from seller. It is very hard to notice because of the color editing and/or lighting conditions of the picture. The one on the right, look in the ear and neck area carefully, and you'll see it had the same green as on the coin you received, but it's just hard to see because of the contrast/color in the picture. Might not be BD, but rather a misleading picture designed to take away attention from green deposits and making it seem it was a shinny coin with more sharpness than it really does have.
All that's green is not BD. Before you rape the coin with harsh treatments, check the spots for soft, flaky (bad) vs. hard, well attached (OK).
That's just green gunk, no? ... aren't those silver coins? => gawd, Mat always cries "the sky is falling" whenever there is a hint of green!! Mat has nightmares about bronze disease!! Oh, but if the OP's pictures are so poor that they are actually bronze coins, then Mat may be a genius!!?
The green is evident in both photos (before and after) ... but your bright home-photos are trying their best to show-off the suspect green bits, whereas the seller's photos are trying to hide them
