Just bought a 1940-S walker on ebay for $5.80. It has vg/f details, but it's cleaned. Did I do okay?

I would say you paid too much. Is that 5.80 including shipping ?

 

A common date in that grade should go for bullion value which means about $4.50 right now.
And S&H makes it cost even more.

Best Bet: If there's a coin store or show near you, buy common items there.

 

That includes shipping. It's good I didn't pay much over bullion value. Going to a show Sunday so we'll see how that goes.
