Heyas there... I have a coin I would like a little bit of information on since my searches have turned nothing up...I took the Nickel and Cent coins from a 2003 mint set to use in a couple albums I was making for my daughter, I took the dollar coins out and stuck em in a tube without looking only to see the P coin wasn't to the norm a couple days ago while going through my tubes... The 3 in 2003 is pretty much not there along with a crescent shaped marking next to it...Diagonal to the date the W in We is really rough with no sure lines like the rest of the lettering, the same crescent mark is present next to it... I couldn't find anything confirming if this was a common error of the date or common amongst this particular type of coin let alone any images or info at all...My searches only revealed 'buy me' sites... I'm posting here to see if someone might enlighten me a bit... I included some images I took... Thanks in advance... These are from a 2003 2 envelope mint set... Struck thru Greased/Grease filled die Either one fits. As for finding reference information, these are quite common and rarely get cataloged or referenced. Unless, you've got something really extreme:
