Alexander Hamilton Medal

    I was just wondering if anyone could give me any information on this Alexander Hamilton medal.

    It looks like a 3" medal made by the mint (you can tell because 3" in medals have no border). hamilton was one of the founding fathers of the mint back in president g. washington's day, but i don't know if he was the first mint director. the mint makes a bronze medal for all it's mint directors. not all are available for sale today, though. it's a beautiful picture.

    Well, if the U.S. Mint made this medal, it was not in their first century of production. They only made one Alexander Hamilton medal (MT-24) during that time period. I shall look further tomorrow.
