Okay, hopefully these images will hold up when I post them up on this board. The guy posted the images he did on Where's George? And I found that thread while looking at currency subjects on Google. So, if these images hold up, THIS is what the Series 2009 $2 bill SHOULD be made to look like (There is a printing order for fiscal year 2012 for a printing of $2 bills which will presumably be Series 2009 like all other denominations) Except the color scheme on the front should feature bulish-green coloring with a blue scroll opened up saying "The Declaration of Independence" on it to the right of Thomas Jefferson on the front where, as you can see, this image is overprinted on a $5 bill. But you get the idea. The main purpose for a redesign of the $2 bill is NOT mainly for security reasons, but more so for the VISUALLY IMPAIRED (I myself, am visually impaired. My vision is 20/400 in BOTH eyes, and almost my whole family and extended family wears glasses), but that does not rule out a few security features, like at least, maybe a couple watermarks. But still, my eyes may or may not get worse, and with a huge dark numeral "2" on the back of an upgraded $2 bill as well as a "big head" Jefferson and old General Washington being the last of the "small heads" this will solve what I consider a fairly serious problem. What do you guys think? Should we rally in support of this?
Looks like the $20 design. If they're going to change it, I say make it look unlike the other money we already have, which is boring and dull. Guy
I think that it is a good idea to increase the domination notation for the visually impaired, but I still can’t get over the fact that these new designs remind me of monopoly money.
Yes, the front is the new $5, and the back looks like the $20. This is why I said that it needs its own color, and I think a bluish-green tint of color would work nicely, and the low-vision numeral should be solid dark bluish-green, and slightly smaller than the new $5's huge purple $5 just as it is in this design, to help visually impaired know that it is a $2 by the size of the numeral, and not just by colors and other features, but because the low-vision numeral is not the same size as the new $5's low-vision numeral.
I still think we should go back to large bills The reverse of the new two should look like this; ...With a slogan like; If you mess with are freedom, than all your base are belong to us!!!
Nice idea to redesign the $2 note Drago. I beleive it is time to change that as well. Maybe we can still put a large-size note inspired vignette on the back? That would be killer.
