I think gold is a bit overpriced now. I am closer to selling than buying. Of course others well say otherwise. If the mint is still selling those satin mint sets buy those! Sorry I just checked and the mint stopped selling them.

well, my thing is, if i want one, i want the 1 ouncer. i can only afford the 1/10th and i'd really rather get a morgan or 3.i could get more silver than gold, and i'd really rather get silver. But, with money in mind, do you think it'd be worth more to get the 1/10th ounce? :(

Get what you really want....if you don't want a AGE don't get it...you won't be happy with it in the end.
I know you like Morgans so go for that....if I was me I would go for a nice PF66CAMEO 1955 Franklin half.....
Never look at coins with the mind...will this one be worth more than this one over here...that is the wrong mind set....when you collect you do it for enjoyment...the $$ you may make is an added plus.

I don't know...I think you told me you don't have a dealer near....do you get Coin World...if so look in there...I seem to remember a guy that sold MS64 Morgans for pretty cheap...he picked the dates but they were said to all be before 1921....

Heritage might be the better way to go....it might work out to get 1 MS65 Morgan that is a better date and not 3...

yeah, but, i'm not 18. also, i'd only like a really nice eye appeal coin in ms-65.

no, i don't get CW. i probably should. but, i'll think about the subscription for my birthday in june.

basically- i dont care what grade it is as long as its slabbed 65 - 63. and has good white eye appeal. also, i like the date 1881.

One other thing - don't be in a rush. Take your time, and find something you really like. In coin collecting - patience is worth way more than dollars ;)

Just remember...more than likely a 1881-S isn't going to be hard to find in higher grades....so try to miss that date and mintmark....go for the other mintmarks of that date. JMHO

My suggestion would be to slow down and not buy anything until you've thought about it some more. It seems like you've changed your mind several times already (e.g., gold, silver 63 morgans, 65morgans), and if you buy something in haste, you may regret it later. Don't let the money burn a hole in your pocket. $100 can give you a nice start on collecting many things. Make sure it is right for you.

    Hey julzboi661---
I've just been looking at some neat coins for under $100 too....I don't know if you like Errors but there are some cool ones for pretty nice prices too...even some one that were struck on the wrong size planchets can be cheap at times.

thats cool, i also thought about starting a Peace dollar collection. I went to my grandfather's safety deposit box today and he let me have a 1929 Buffalo Nickel, A 1922 Peace Dollar, A 1937 WL, and a Gold-toned connecticut BU quarter.

There goes Speedy with that crazy error talk again. :goofer:

Like everyone else said, take your time and get something you'll really like. I try very hard not to make impulse coin purchases as I usually end up feeling bad about them later and that is not good. On occassion, I probably let my money burn a hole in my pocket a bit too long. I just spent some money on a coin about a month ago that I got for my birthday about 8 months ago! :rolling:

    I've only started ;)
In the last few weeks I've been watching errors more than I have for a long time....don't know why but maybe I'll have to buy some so I can't see them in person!
