I added some interesting ancient coins to my site:
    http://augustuscoins.com/index.html
The first is a small piece of Aes Rude and the second an Ocacillia Severa tetradrachm with bust left.

Roman Republican Aes Rude. Small piece of raw copper which served as value by weight, perhaps from the 4th C. BC.
23 mm x 17 mm x 9 mm, irregular shape. 8.36 grams. Aes Rude is discussed in Vecchi Italian Aes Rude, Signatum, and the Aes Grave of Sicily. "irregular lumps down the the late 4th C. B.C." "A system of barter with copper objects had long existed in Central Italy where copper was plentiful and valued while silver was rare and gold non-existent." [p. 15]
    [$24 SOLD]
