This one I processed about a year or so ago. I gave it some Ren Wax to improve and protect. I plan to do that with most as they become final. Comments welcome at all times. Constantine II SMTS Delta
Sometimes the renwax gives it a little glint that pulls out detail. I've dipped before to remove it too, though.
Thanks for the comment Evan. I have had to dip and remove a couple. But, some are just suited to it. I have some that are nearly fully silvered that I don't want to touch. It is fun to find silvered coins. But, much more fun to find one that has most of the silvering in tact.
I would make sure to bake them at 200° for 2 to 3 hours to remove any moisture before sealing them with the renwax. Personally I really like renwax for protecting metal objects. I have antique iron and steel swords that have not rusted at all for 10+ years once I treated them with renwax. I used to live pretty close to the ocean and the renwax provided good protection even there.
Looks nice! I find the Renwax really pulls out the detail on some coins - especially those with a dry, chalky type of patina.
