I'm about 4 weeks into this highly addictive coin collecting world. I've watched 15+ hours of videos and researched hundreds of auction lots, articles, and forums. Basically my goal was to learn as much on my own before I asked any questions about any of my coins I recently inherited. This will be the first pics and question thus far. Would I be correct to say that these Kennedy half dollars are at least a MS 65?
I'm liking it at MS-63. Use it to start an album or folder. Kennedy half dollars really need to be high grade to stand out in the crowd. There are and were a lot of these coins made. Plus everyone saved them. Welcome to the world of coin collecting. Just hang out here. There is a thread around here where folks have posted their Kennedy coins. Take a look in there to get a better feel for the grading of these coins.
First, welcome to the neighborhood @Ryan Patrick ! Since I don't know which reverse goes with which obverse, and one of the reverse images is only a partial image, it's hard for anyone to give you an accurate estimate. Chris
@Ryan Patrick Welcome to the club. Match up the obverse and reverses and some of the Kennedy collectors can help you out (I ain't one of them).
If you have the opportunity in your area, I would strongly encourage you to join a local coin club. You'll meet lots of friendly, helpful people (and a few soreheads). I would also recommend going to local coin shows and any local coin dealers. These give you a chance to see a lot of different things and listen to the lingo.
