Yowzer!! Just got my Andostar 2MP Digital Microscope. Took me 5 minutes to set it up, another 5 minutes to download the software, and SHAZAM!! $59.99 on eBay
image comes off as .bmp, which I converted to a .png. For whatever reason, this board will not recognize a .bmp.
Mine was set up for bit map and have to convert to jpeg. My scanner was pre-set to Tif and I was able to convert to jpeg.
You'll have to keep us posted. So far, I'm saving up for a DinoLite from CoinZip. I'm worried about longevity, warranty issues, etc.
No need to with a Dino I've have had mine for 10 plus years never any issues. Used it today work's as it did the day I got it.
Can you take a picture with the Andostar of the full obverse to see how it looks. I have been wanting one of these gadgets and want to know which is the best. That close-up looks great.
It looks pretty good! One thing I notice is that the focus on the "45" is slightly better than it is on the "19". I don't know if this is normal for this scope or if you just have to play with yours for the best results. I had similar quirks with my conventional stereomicroscope for which I had to make allowances. So, once you get used to using it, you will find that your software might help you get better results. Does your software allow you to rotate your photos after you have taken them? Some close-ups will appear better under the light with different rotations. For example, a clash might be pretty much invisible if the coin is photographed in an upright position, but if you rotate the coin 90 degrees, it becomes more visible. However, before you've completed the process, you can rotate the finished photos so that it is once again upright. Of course, you might already know this, but I thought it was worthwhile mentioning it for the benefit of others. Chris
To see what your missing . RPM,RPD, I love my scope ,I've taken images and summit by email To experts and Received their reply in hours.
A recent study now concludes that some lo-cal items like sodas & softdrinks are not good for you. You get what you pay for (bribery). Chris
This one looks like it could be affordable. I ought to be able to pick this one up for some theater tickets for her and her friends.
No it's called spell check on a pad as some smart phones as well as pads are so smart they change spelling as you post or send an e mail. I find Samsung are the worst for this . On my Note 4 I have disabled spell check as a VP in my company sent out a e mail that turned out to be very embarrassing.
