Been collecting these for years now and thought I would share my different types I have found over the years. I have add a letter to the picture for ease of ID'ing them and comment on any of them For the large slab I have found 6 different styles of the labels. I don't know what order of issue they came out in, so you might know please comment of the years. Number six will be in the next post. Thanks. **
Facinating. These are all very early varieties. The fifth one I have never seen before. The earliest one is C, B and D are next, I think they are the same variety with the back label misprinted on D. (This was not in the first edition of the book, but it is in my notes for the second edition.) E comes next but I have never seen that reverse label for the grading explanation. I have only seen one explanation label that has the word Guide in both upper and lower case letters and it is not this one. The latest one is A which is ACG 2 in my book. I placed the ACG 2 as being in 1985. F should come either before or immediately after C. This may have been a group done specifically for a certain dealer which would make me think it is probably before C.
Thanks for your comments. I have the small slabs coming out next. (F,C,B,D,E,A) Misprint on "D" reverse, would that be the 91 was left off and a '--' replaced it after ACCUGRADE.
Great collection! Here is an interesting example that I sold last year...the famous error of the company not knowing their own name. Notice the spelling "Accurade"
Never thought to look for spelling error here. But you never know where you will fine them. Thanks for showing that one.
I didn't either before someone else posted one. I don't think there are too many (I have only seen two), so definitely be on the lookout for these.
That and the whole line being offset all the way to the left edge instead of being centered. There is no telling how many varieties there are in the Accugrade slabs. I listed 24 varieties in the book and I've seen a couple of others and now you've come up two more.
