Has anyone ever seen anything like this. I have spent the better part of 5 hours searching the net for anything even close....
I found something similar on eBay. They appear to be commemorative coins but I too researched a little bit to try to help but there seems to be no information other about the who/why/wheres of the coin. Edit: I found this similar Eisenhower one also. Sorry, that's all the info I could find for you.
The stylistic similarities suggest that both the Abe/Mary and Ike/Mamie medallions are part of the same series. With literally hundreds of private issuers of such items - which are not coins - unless the issuer signs the piece (the "FM" of Franklin Mint for example) or someone who happens to be familiar with the series sees this thread, there's no way to pinpoint it further.
