Without a picture.. I am assuming it's a 2002 D Dime as your title states.

Your Dime has edge wear on both sides.
    Not a Mint Error

Well I learn something new everyday.

I have been going through rolls of dimes and have come across quite a few interesting pieces, but I'm completely clueless.

    Thanks for the help.

Can You post a photo of the coins edge? Can you weight it in Grams ?
I am curious why his ear does not show the same wear as his hair.

Unfortunately I do not have a scale. However I did attach the photos you requested.

Strange wear pattern. Note the detail on the devices on the center of the reverse. I'm thinking someone polished off the edges.

That is a good weight. I was thinking Low Strike Pressure but the edge tells a different story. It reminds me of a coin found in the water pump of a washing machine.

Isn't it normal to be notified whenever new posts are made to a thread one has previously posted to? Honest question.

I have never received "Alerts" unless someone clicks on "Reply" and responds directly to my post.

Good point. I've never used any of the different settings/options available here, so I've no idea how things work for others. :)

Do you use any special settings? I receive an alert whenever there is a new post or posts, and regardless of if it was in response to one of mine. If memory serves me, I think I'll also get one if someone has quoted me, but again I use only what could be described as the default settings.

Are you referring to e-mail alerts? I don't care for them.

Correction: Tags are another option that sends me an Alert.

No... just the little red box thing in the upper right corner. I opened a junk email account at the time I joined and haven't opened it since, nor can I even remember what the address was. While I assume there's an option to not receive email alerts, the mere idea of having to wade through new emails for alerts was just too much for me.
