Attached are scans of my recent ABNCo Archive auction purchases..
The first scan is a specimen of the Douglas Aircraft certificate.
I think the vignette is very cool with biplanes circling the earth
and some of the planets. The other scan is just a part of the vignette from Aetna Explosives Company. The image was a little large so the scanner broke it into four images. .I just posted the vignette. Including commission I paid $252.00 for both of them. I have no idea if that is a fair price. Looking froward to comments about what they cost me.

Tomorrow I'lI post images of the >$1000.00 oriental bill that was charged to my account by error.

I don't know about stock cert values but those are rad! A great eagle and a very cool, early Douglas Aircraft stock cert, from a time before McDonnell and ages before Boeing took over. I can't wait to see the mistakenly charged note but I'm glad you rectified the charge.

Here's a larger vignette for the Douglas Aircraft specimen certificate.

Thanks for all the compliments. I started collecting ABNCo about six months ago. So far, the Douglas Aircraft vignette is my favorite.

I'm a big fan of specimen stocks and bonds, particularly the railroads. Sometimes that's the only way you can find these certificates and they are often quite rare. This is a great pick-up Midas! You have me thinking about posting some of my own.

    What's the other vignette from?

Re: pricing, that's a little more than I'd want to pay, although the aircraft stocks do bring a premium. If you troll eBay for "specimen stock certificate" you'll come up with a lot of results, many for $20 or less. It just depends on whether you collect for the vignette or for a specific company.

The eagle vignette is from the Aetna Explosives Company. I thought they are on the expensive side when I bid on them, my first ABNCo certificates. I'll check eBay for more.

Stock certificates are really gaining speed and popularity but gauging
Value can be tuff as there are so many varieties, Ive got a few floating
Around somewhere and will post them when i get a chance :)

Looking forward to seeing your stock certificates.

The prices are quite a bit lower on eBay. My certificates are "specimens" but don't know if they sell for a premium.
