I'm not in this hobby ....part time hobby for me to make money or anything. I'm in it because I find it really fun that the change you get and have gotten your whole life is not looked at closely by many. Pennies an dimes go in the cup holder and back out at Burger King without a though for most. Heck, even the vast majority of those few that do look have no stinking idea what to really look for. This hobby takes a full time brain and it didn't take me long to figure out you don't become an expert by googling. The chances of finding a real dd error for the casual person is probably the same odds of winning big in the lotto. There's satisfaction in my weird mind when I found this big nosed Abe. I'm sure it's not anything special but it made me laugh when I seen 2 noses and they were oddly shaped compared to the other pennies I've seen. Abe even looks a little more " mad" in this one....but then again, read a few threads around here and you realize nobody is immune to seeing things that their heart wants to see and not their eyes.

You have a sense of humor that is much needed here by new members. Bravo. Looks like some machine doubling going on there but not an error.

BTW, if you ever run into any Lincolns circa 1960-63 you will see this effect at his throat. Looks like real doubling also but is just MD.

To my eye it looks to likely be a late memorial where the depiction of the man had become grotesquely comical compared to Brenner's magically-flattering original.
