Just received my shipment of 2010 proof Presidents in NGC holders and Abe Lincoln is staring at me from the holder marked "FOURTEENTH PRESIDENT FRANKLIN PIERCE" It is an NGC holder numbered 3399029-104. I am assuming this is not a common occurance. Does this have any collectable value?

That seems to be a very common occurance now-a-days. Makes ya wonder how many chinese coins are slabbed genuine...

I believe that something similar found a new home a couple weeks ago for around $99.00.

Thanks thats pretty cool, so I guess it has some collector interest. I think I will keep it.

Thought about this, but I think it makes for a great conversation piece with other collectors.

Good point, If their quality control missed this, there is no way they would catch a counterfiet if it made it through the grading process as genuine. I would be interested to know where in the process this mishap occured.

A perfect example of why slabs are almost useless.

By that same regard all car's are useless because a Toyota had a recall. Or all beef is useless because there was a mad cow...
