    Ah, the Panzer strikes again!
You will be happy to know that my first firearm I purchased was a Mauser.... Oh wait, I don't want to start WWIII again!:wideyed:

It is a lovely coin, Panzer!
I wouldn't mind getting a few AV Eastern Roman Hyperpyrons this summer. We shall see how many Siliquae I get, if not too many then I'll get a Goldie!!!;):D:wacky:

Best not to even go there. Even if you are joking. The forum doesn't need it.

Thanks all, for those lovely comments! The Abbasid Caliphate took over from the Ummayads, after their leader led a rebellion and murdered the Caliph and all of his family tree, save for one who managed to escape the slaughter. He eventually set up an Ummayad Caiphate in Spain. This was the start of the Sunni/Shi-ite war which is still going on today with ISIS who are Sunni, killing the Shi-ites. Off to work now.....

I clearly was joking as noted by the emoji.
Though you are right it was perhaps in poor taste, my apologies.

Where on this coin is the actual date? Does it include the AH or is it just a number?

The year is in the margin of the righthand picture in words.
(Like usual, this has a format like "in the name of Allah, this coin was struck, in the year X and Y and Z. Where XYZ are the centuries, decades and units of the year.)
