So, are NGC anad PCGS going to assign grades or just call them BUs???

I'm not debating if grading is a good idea or not... So please lets not turn this into a grade or not to grade war... If you want to fine, if you don't then........ Ummmm Don't.....

Anyway, I''m seeing these already and it made me wonder...

I kinda prefer an MS Number... or a PF(I know these aren't proofs) just saying I like a number scale...

I would guess that these were sent in from the TV show company as it seems that they ask that the coins be graded such as BU or UNC.....

PCGS is taking bulk submissions of the dollars..they get a grade if they are ms66 or better, ms65 or less get the BU holder.

They probably wanted some in slabs real quick and all they have to do is send the coins to the grading companies and have them slabbed. The slabbing companies probably do little more than glance at them. At this point all are uncirculated or as they like to say " brilliant uncirculated." Can get a bunch of them out there real fast.

Would think the numbers game would start soon

I've already seen the 69's and 70's on the TV shopping networks.

If you send in the coins through regular service they will grade them. As far as bulk goes, it is as you say. : )

Im really wondering the same thing here as Coin Vault had Washington P & D graded by NGC for $19.99 which I felt was a decient deal but there graded as Brilant Uncurlated ?

How feels posible good deal at $20 for 2 graded coins or a unknown issue as to which the grades corespond to ?

It's a great deal if you want to pay $20 for $2 worth of coins.

I hate to see the TPGs mass slabbing coins as BU. But, I do wonder how valuable the Presidential Dollars will be in higher slabbed grades, like MS-67 and up. From the dollars I have seen, the overall quality seems to be rather poor with many contact marks.

I will be interested to see the quality of the dollars in the mint sets, and how most of them will grade out.

Then you have to hate all of the other grading companies for putting Early Release and First Strike and such junk....NGC isn't the only one.

Out of the roll I got, about 2/3 of them had bad grease damage (from grease on the dies), which interrupts the cartwheeling and makes them look weird.

Last night I just happened to catch a few minutes of home shopping and coins. It came clear that they and the TPG's are one in the same! The statehood quarters and now the pres dollars have opened up a whole new world as to how these cons can rip off the public. There were all those nice new coins in those nice new holders with their "first day of issue" fancy colorful new labels. These were ICG slabs and they did show grades of MS69 and PR69. And best of all this rare, one-of-a-kind, 3 coin set can be yours for only $79.95. According to the show did you know that ICG is voted the #1 and most highly sought after TPG in the country? And people were buying them fast! Just goes to show if you hire a fast talking salesman or put a fancy label on a slab, people will be more than willing to throw away their money.

Slabs without grades!!?? What will they think of next? I think the TPG's are realizing that they can do just about anything they want and put anything on their label and collectors will still trust them enough to blindly throw them their money.

I do not watch a lot of HSN as Chambers on coin vault is my farvorite coin show entertainer. Think I would like to have one of those "Fat Head" stick up posters of him. Probably would be the only thing I would ever buy from him.

Anyhow on HSN about all i ever see on there is the ICG coins. If they are selling as many of theses rare presidential coins as they seem to be , then maybe they are the most requested TPG in the country.

LOL, I watched that coin show for probably the *same* 3 minutes and saw that $79 set and thought, ohhh my. If I am scanning channels and see it in the lineup, I'll check it out. Usually for just a minute or two, then go on to some actual programming.
