    Hello
As I am the only one in the whole family to show interest in coins, my inlaw's eventually gave me as a present some wonderful proof coins

    #1- Canada 100$, 1976 for the olympics
#2- Canada 100$, 1978 Together into the future
    #3- Canada 100$, 1981 O'Canada
#4- USSR, 100 roubles gold, 1978 for the 1980 olympics
    #5- USSR, 150roubles, platinium, 1977 for the 1980 olympics

Unfortunately (explains the title), #1 and #2 have been stuck on cardboard with scotchtape !!!! Yes you read well. :headbang:
Am afraid they're ruined, but, would anybody know of something to do to remove that glue without spoiling the coins anymore ?

    It's a real pity, isn't it ?

Thanks in advance for your answers

Acetone will remove the glue residue, and I recommend doing so. But the coins will likely show the discolored strip where the tape was, just about forever.

Sure, but probably I'll have to rub a bit to remove that glue, and that will be a problem to.

I wouldn't - just soak it and the glue will come off.

The Canadian $100.00 coins are .917 gold and .083 copper alloy and weigh 16.966 grams. Canadian Coin News trends lists their value at CDN$ 285.00.
