Are any of the names of the Vignette Artists or Note Designers for these Obsolete Notes known or were they just nameless, faceless employees at an engravers and their names lost to history?

 

Here's one from my local area and collection as well. This particular bank went under in 1859 due to problems arising from the "mismanagement of state bonds."
