If you were to sell a genuine "no FG floating roof penny" on eBay, what would you sell it for? I have seen outrageous amounts, but the genuine ones are anywhere from $20-$60. Couldn't find anything online elsewhere. I figured you veteran coin collectors could give me an honest answer, for today's market. I guess over the years prices vary.

It is caused by die polishing as they try to maintain and prolong the working life of the die. They are pretty common, not very hard to come across as after the polishing out of those devices, the die goes on to strike many more coins, so for me I wouldn't pay much.

I've found 3. Sold them as a lot on the bay for I think $10.

    It’s a $10.00 coin at best.

I would hope so. I think I’m getting old and forgetful but I know it’s the BP medication.

By genuine ones I meant there is no trace of the FG. I know it is from polishing the die. So, $10 at the most. Thank you everyone!

Yea, it’s caused by an over polished die.

$10 if it is in mint state. And it shows the heavy die abrasion. Don't fall into the ebay everything is worth a fortune thinking.

Knowing the truth is what keeps you safe from that thinking. I don't know what is wrong with eBay sellers except pure ignorance, deceit, and criminal thinking. It's crazy!
