a TOUGH guess the grade!

    AU-50?

    Beautiful coin!

    Amazing Eye Appeal IMO.

    By wear alone that is a 50/53 coin, but with those nicks and spots, I think they only gave it a 45

    I think the wear on the head definitely puts it into into AU range. XF seems too low. This coin is so visually appealing that a number grade wouldn't matter to me. Neither would I care if it had been cleaned.

    Looks like xf 45. The stars do not have much detail though....very concerning.

    Yeah, looking at the wear on the head, robe and arms I really wouldn't be surprised if it went as low as a XF40 although 45 is probably more like it. But the reverse seems to have less wear than even some lower-end AU's. It is a beautiful coin regardless of the final grade. I really am torn between Xf45 and AU50 but I think I'll settle with AU50 because of the strong reverse and nice overall appeal.

    I'd say AU-55 , these weren't the best struck coins and the eagle is pretty full . An MS grade wouldn't surprise me .
