Yes, it sure is a thing. What kind of thing, I don't know, but definitely a thing.

I'm buying this set for the dimes. Could not care less for the dollar, but I might hold on to it for a while anyway.

 

I'm with you, I wish it was just the dimes in the set. To me the dollar in it doesn't justify the price, still on the fence about buying it.

 

I think they have a reverse proof too mentioned in the CoinWorld digital magazine. I will buy 1 of those.

 

This Mint offering is a flipper's dream...lots of hype, limited mintage, unique coins, likely Mint ordering or delivery screw-up. lol TC

 

I'm in on this one. I just hope I can get one from the mint and not have to go through the secondary market.

I predict that those great big laser "frosting" pits are going to look even sillier on a reverse-proof dime. But I'll likely speculate on five sets, because everybody thinks that everybody else thinks they're desireable.

 

It's interesting how the High Res image of the Reverse Proof includes machine doubling on the Oak Leaves and AMERICA.

Well considering that 15,000 people can buy the entire mintage this one will probably be a winner. I'll buy the 5 sets if they are still for sale when I get home from work that day.

 

I will definitely get five.

 

I think the low mintage bronze 2009-S proof cents should be a sure thing too. Time will tell.
