I have four Jefferson Nickels with a cut at the bridge of the nose. Is this important at all? I don't have the gear or the wisdom to know a scratch from an error, yet. Any help, would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom.

It's a high spot on the coin. The cut, as you call it, is a bag mark from other coins. The common term is PMD or Post Mint Damage. Value is $.05 each.
