I'm wondering if this Morgan could go MS65.It has few little contact marks and just some surface scratches on the cheeks. What made me think it could go MS65 is of it having a lot of gorgeous cartwheel luster. So what do you think?A shot at MS65?Oh and to let you know,my camera caused the scratches to stand out more than they do with the naked eye.

    Thanks

I love the luster, but there seem to be too many light surface marks both on the obv. and rev.

    Love the coin though

IMO not a chance for 65 - best it would do is 63.

I'm not in the same league as some of the others who gave you an opinion here, but I love the eye-appeal, luster (maybe PL?) and the strike. As the saying goes, "eye-appeal forgives a lot." Depending on how much those marks show up to the naked eye, I think you got a shot 65. Easy 64, imo.

Nice coin, but the marks on the cheek are right in the eyes main focal point. I think that if they are generous MS64 more likely MS63.

But then again I've been wrong plenty of times. :smile

Too many marks. Down by the ear, cheek. Very nice speciman, however a common Morgan, Guessing it would grade 63 at a TPG. Probable 70 at one I won't mention.
