I bought this from an ebay seller last week who is fairly close to me (~70 miles). He shipped the next day and it was expected to arrive Monday. I did a quick check on the tracking and it had made it to the last stop before my local office when the package decided to take a detour to Anaheim, CA!. It stayed a few days in sunny southern California before winging it back to Maryland.
It arrived today and I can't be happier for the $15 spent.

At least it arrived in a relatively quick manner. Regardless, I would've happily paid $15 for such a coin. Here's a Probus Alexandrian Tetradrachm that I purchased back in February.

Yup. Just amazed that it made such a random 2700 mile detour :)

They're very unique, that's for sure. They've got a unique portrait style that I don't think exists anywhere else in the empire.
Also they're very thick. IDK why they didn't make them thinner and bigger. Gotta be a reason.

probaly didn’t want to confuse these tets with the antoninianius, which at that point was nothing but a copper coin! And also wanted to continue the legacy of tetradrachms being the thick coin in circulation.

The "head on a platter" type is somehow appropriate given the haywire trip and incompetence involved...
