That is slightly annoying. It's one of those things in life you would have expected to be remedied by now. I put it into the category of different styles of cars having different heights for headlights and bumpers, which reduces their effectiveness.
So don't try to stack them. Put them in slab boxes. You can put slabs from all of them in the same box.
