Being a die-hard Barber guy, original coins above VG are just tough. Today, was a small coin show in Towson, Maryland. It's my second time visiting the show, but a lot of the small shows I go to a year exhibit the same dealers. My current situation doesn't warrant a lot of money towards coins as I would like. I recently got married, have a young spud on the way, and recently bought a new house that we close on Friday of next week. With all of the above going on, I had 80$ to take to the show today. I figured I could get some nice VG hole fillers for my Barber albums. I made a quick round of the small bourse, and saw one dealer with a bargain bin with some Barbers. This is where I decided to find some hole fillers. I dug through, and I found a few dimes and quarters in VG worthwhile. I walked over to pay, and a Barber Half caught my eye. A super sweet VF half! Totally orginal, and nice detail. Look down, and see it is my favorite year! A sweet 1902P. Not a rare or scarce coin, but a coin I didn't plan on finding at a 15 dealer show! Such a sweet coin. My favorite year and a nice match to my 1902-S! Compared to my 02-S
Congratulations Lot Potato, there is nothing which beats unexpectedly finding something you have long been searching. Good for you! And the coin is nice too, btw.
