been hunting a nice one, all i saw in the price range were nearly dateless and worn to hell.. This one's got some nice meat on it for $22 (sellers pics)
I hate to spoil your fun but how is 1816 a key date? At a mintage of almost 2.82 million it's actually one of the highest minted dates in the series.
the large cent was the only coin minted that year and while 2.8 million were made finding one in decent shape is not that easy... Why it is considered a key date... I don't honestly know, but I do know finding nice ones is not easy....
