This is a new coin find for me. Just look at it. She is in this burlesque pose.. showing nothing really, but looking so sexy at it. She has a olive branch in one hand, and a quiver with an axe in the other, and a cap on her head. This was the fashion in the day. I like it, but that is just me. Even the Walking liberty has a cap on her head. Like I said, it was the fashion at the time.
The coin has close to the amount of SILVER as a DOLLAR, and it is cheap. Less than 50 will buy this coin.
It is a Panamanian BOA, or a dollar in that country.
A beautful design, and well worth the money in my humble opinion, or MHO.. what ever..take a look P1015469.JPG

A boa is a constrictor or a long, feathery scarf worn around the neck. This beautiful Panamanian coin is called a Balboa. It is one of my favorite foreign designs because I was born in 1947.

By the way, do you know what kind of flip that is? It looks very much like ones that contain PVC.

Pretty coin design aside from the fact that it looks like her neck was just broken by a Navy Seal

Could this be one of those foreign coins struck by a U.S. mint?

Yes struck by the Philadelphia mint, half a million of them.

It just had that "look". I never would have believed it before, but the more coins you look at, the more you see a "U.S. mint look".

The coin has the same composition and weight as the US silver dollar. I might be mistaken but I believe Panama was ordering their coins in 90% a bit later than the US did.

We were striking the Panamanian coins and we used the same planchets for them as we used on our own coins. They weren't issuing coins every year and they went to the coppernickel clad in 1966.

Either way, there are a couple places where you can already see PVC plasticizer beginning to eat away at the coin:

It won't be this pretty for much longer if the OP doesn't address the matter.
