I went for a few hours later afternoon on Friday and it was still really busy. Everyone I spoke to said Thursday was crazy busy. Saturday, yesterday, was still plenty busy in the afternoon! There were A LOT of sellers! Got to speak with a bunch of wonderful folks. Got to make a few fun deals. I had some great timing while speaking with some wonderful people and I was gifted this wonderful Denver Coin Expo commemorative copper round that just makes me smile Ran into an old co-worker who happened to be selling a few penny rolls from his childhood in the 70's. He's never searched them because he's never really collected pennies seriously...so we made a deal and I bought 'em! Submitted my first coins to ANACS (some tokens and a clipped quarter error)...even though I actually only live 10 minutes away from them lol. Met another friend at the show who's learned a whole lot during her first year of collecting! She made excellent connections searching for some pieces she would like. Acquired my 2nd and 3rd ever Daniel Carr pieces! The first piece I got is mounted in the cover of the recent beautiful So-Called Dollars book! The 2 pieces I just got are perfectly right up my alley. Fun experimental rims on small dollars! I looooove them too!
I was there Thursday and it was as busy as I’ve seen it in the five years I’ve been going. Glad you enjoyed the show!
