You have a Bicentennial coin. In 1975 and 1976 quarters, halfs and dollars (Ikes) were minted with the dual date 1776-1976 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence which launched the 13 colonies on the path to becoming the United States of America.

All three were issued in the standard cu-ni/copper/cu-ni sandwich, and a silver/copper/silver sandwich.

It's value in AU or better condition is in the $1-2 range. Otherwise, it's worth its 50¢ face value. Chances are that if you go to the bank and buy a roll or two of half-dollars you'll find at least one low to mid-grade bicentennial.

After all my roll searching I tend to come up with at least 10 to 15% of the halves being bicentennials. I save any that look in decent condition but too many seem vicitms of slot machine abuse. It is a neat looking design though.
