If any members are making plans to attend the Baltimore coin and currency convention December 2-5th please PM me. I will be sharing a table with another Delaware dealer, but will be spending most of my time on the floor and at the Bowers auction. It has been a pleasure meeting some of you and look forward to meeting more of you.
ND Would you know if there are ever any big coin conventions in Michigan?? I know the big cities, Detroit, Lansing and Grand Rapids have big shows , but any conventions?
Here is a good link for shows. http://coinshows.com/michigan.html MSNS 49th Fall Coin Show is a rather large show, but not a big convention.
Coin World also lists upcoming shows. I went to one in Grand Rapids, but I wouldn't call it big;there were maybe 40 tables. I did manage to get a Seated Liberty dime I needed for my Type collection, though. I also picked up Photograde.
Thanks ND. The coin show in Monroe this Sunday is in my home town, I'd probably know half the dealers. Bacchus, I check Coin World every now and then for shows, but it seems that they are always on weekends when I cannot make it downstate. : (
collect4fun, There's also a local coin club in Grand Rapids that meets, I believe, on the fourth Thursday of every month. 616-949-9275 for info. I haven't attended yet because I've been working evenings for the last few months, but I keep meaning to. How far north are you ?
That's north, all right ! You probably have better show/club opportunities in Saginaw; much closer to where you are, I think.
Why does everybody give that type of response when I tell them where I live? I have only been up here for 1 1/2 years. Life does exsist North of Saginaw. I grew up near Monroe. I have heard that there is / was a club in TC, but they do not have reuglar meetings. I do get down state once - twice a month to see family, but it just seems that my schedule only gets me down there the week opposite a show. Sorry ND for stealing your thread..... Continue.
