A friend brought this back from Israel for me. Please help ID

    I'm pretty sure there's a coin under the corrosion, but tourists buy funny things.

    The Reverse is upside down, but it is a Fel Temp Reparatio type coin with a Roman Soldier killing a barbarian on a horse.

    I can't make out a mint, but I think it is Constantius II..

    Wow. Your example is in amazing condition. That patina isn't something I see on US coins.

    Thank you for the information. I figured you folks would know the coin's who, what, where, and when. My buddy was told 69 AD - which sounds incredibly precise now that I think about it.

    I can't make out the mint either. Maybe Arles?
