Some of you might remember, I inherited my grandfathers collection a few weeks back. Here is some of the coins I had and some I got from him:
Thanks Hey Krispy, the IHC is one of a book I got from my granfather. Him and I were/are both big fans of "pennies" and that is probably the nicest one in there. The cool thing is he filled one of two pages, and now I plan on finishing it (for me AND for him) I also recently picked up a few more IH's and one is a 1907 with brilliant color! I'll snap a pic of it and post it soon.
Right on...Id love to have had the opportunity to acquire coins from someone I respected and loved. What a wonderful legacy he left you. Id wouldnt have the heart to sell or trade any of it. Any chance of you posting some more pics? Thanks
Ya, I was only playing around and trying to figure out how to get good pics of them. I'll try and put together some more to show.
Thanks BQ. Actually, that was the first coin I "collected" on my own. Back around the mid 90's, I walked into a local convience store and bought a soda and a snack with a $10 bill. The lady in return gave me the 1909 and a $5 silver certificate bill as my change. I regret it now, but I sold the $5 bill for $20 regular cash and about $10 dollars in silver coins. Granted, I got a good deal, but never got my mitts on another silver certificate dollar bill.
I said I would post a few more...so here are some more: (hope you guys don't mind, practicing with the camera)
The "more" the better?? lol As for the JFK...I really like that piece. I'd have 2 say it is one of my finest pieces!
