Meow has found this penny with a few odd stripes in the left most space between the columns. Meow is going to guess that it is finger feeder gouges on the die. Oh, and its a 2000d. Meow also thought a first it might be the usual stripes found on zinc pennies, but the stripes on this penny run perpendicular to these stripes. 2000 is a copper plated zinc planchet.. but I am sure you know that already.

It is either some small plating blisters or Die gauge/scratch marks.

It's definitely one of the two. Hard to decide without poking the lines with something hard enough to cause damage.

But do you guys notice the plating lines are perpendicular to them? So naturally the zinc rot lines would follow the same grain. Well, at least Meow thinks it would. Its a bit hard to catch on camera, but with Meow's 60x lit magnifier in paw it is a fairly prominent. Especially the one stripe on the bottom close to the stairs, has pretty decent elevation from the blank part of that opening.
