Picked up a few new Lincolns last night, I went after a very cool woody, but got out bid at the last second:crying:

1942-S MS67RD: Can't figure what the deal is for pricing of these, I've seen everything from $55 to $250 for the same grade.

1930 MS64RD: I know most won't like the reverse but I thought is was different.

I bid on a bunch of them last night, but I did not manage to win a one.

As for the pricing, I use Heritage. FWIW, I show their average about $70 of late.

Are these coins you just won or coins you have? I am wondering on that second coin if that is just a brown spot. Maybe knocking it from the RD to RB. Other than that they look nice to me - good additions.

I would call the stained one more of a "birth mark" look :thumb: that first one is superb!

The '30 does have an interesting look and the '42-S has nice even color across the fields.

    Nice new additions, congrats.

I whittled my list from about 20 coins to 4, and ended up with the above plus 5 1976 S PR69DCAM Kennedy's (why I bought the Kennedy's? I don't know???)

    Here's the woody I wanted:

I picked these up off Teletrade last night, it's graded as RD but I think we all know these coins can tone in the holders. I call these "special" coins critters, and I feel they need a home too :)

I think I found another one, except on the obverse, maybe I'll start a birthmark type set?

I think that'll be the new trend in this series.. You can thank me later :) :thumb:

Too bad you did not get that 1916-. That looks like it might have been a pretty coin.

Quite rubbing it in lol! I really wanted that coin, but not only did I get out bid, but it was at the last second, so I doubt I would have gotten it anyway.

Great coins. I love buying the ones in the 30's and 40's (years for the Lincoln)
