Found these in one of the bins at the coin show today. Love the shape of the two from India and the Netherlands. The other two I just liked the designs of. Enjoy Darryl
Darryl, the Indian coin is a 10 Paise. The coin with the double eagle Coat-of-Arms is a nickel 20 Heller from Austria.I see the cupro-nickel British 1/- & the Dutch 5 Cents over here quite often,as they are usually in old collections that my boss buys in. Aidan.
Darryl,if you have any other coins that you can't identify, please let us know.At least 1 of us should be able to identify them. Aidan.
Cindy,I've got one of those Indian 10 Paise coins similar to the one depicted, but dated 1965.The 10 Naye Paise coins of 1957-63 are more common though. Aidan.
Cindy, Thanks - I liked that one too - the detail and design is nice. LSM - It was fun to big through the bargain bin to pick out some neat coins at a very reasonable price. I do not have many odd shaped coins in my collection, so I could not resist. The coin from India has a nice reverse as well while the coin from the Netherlands is simple yet eye catching. Best Regards, Darryl
Darryl, I also like going through the foreign coin bargain bin. Some dealers are not that knowledgeable about foreign coins so you can pick up some nice foreign coins at a very reasonable price. Lou
