? A damaged 1970?

Here I am almost 50 and yes, damaged. I get toned in the sun, environmental damage. I smoke, intentional damage. I also age naturally which is a deterioration of elasticity and other things, natural damage essentially. What would’ve happened if at birth my parents put me in a holder where I could not grow naturally like the binding of feet? Would I have stayed young and beautiful, un-damaged naturally?

I am alive and have life. A coin isn’t alive but it does have a life cycle. With these things in mind, why would a toned coin be considered damaged? It ages naturally. Damage would be scratches and dings and gouges. I got those too, lol.

A 500 year old coin looking like it was just born would be... un-natural, don’t you think?

Yeah, okay, my thoughts are vast and most would get totally lost surfing the filing cabinets in my brain, but yeah... crazy right, lol.

I’m sure the argument/discussion has been raised, defeated and restarted again numerous times without resolution. My thoughts began swirling on the subject directly following a comment that a toned coin is a damaged one but, how can that be, it is merely aging?!

Anyways... posting a promo pic I used for my music taken just a few years ago. Hair is dyed then... damage, lol. Today it is naturally going grey.

    The face behind the madness...

Here is my high school graduation photo in 1965. If I were to grade myself, I would give me an MS65.

Here is a photo of me back in my bartending days of the early 80's. If I were to grade myself then, I would say AU55 because I had been smoking for 20+ years.

I don't have any recent photos of me, now, but if I were to grade myself, it would probably be F12. Fortunately, I quit smoking "cold turkey" after 55+ years, but it has definitely had an adverse effect on my stamina.

You should quit smoking, too, before it is too late.

    Nice photos.
    Congratulations on not smoking!
Before it’s too late... it is coming up on the one year anniversary, May 29th, since my pneumothorax. My right lung collapsed and I had a tube protruding from my chest to drain the blood. I started taking Wellbutrin to help in not smoking. The side effects of the pharmaceutical was horrible... I couldn’t keep a straight thought, I felt like a fly on the wall and a metal taste in my mouth never quit! I stopped smoking for 2 whole weeks, something I’ve never done! I don’t take that drug anymore. I am smoking but not beating myself up for failing to quit. It took me 40 years to learn how to smoke as well as I do, I’m certain not smoking will take some time to learn as well.

    Peace!

I was smoking a carton a week for about 25 years when I quit. I'm living off Social Security, and spending $3,500 per year for cigarettes was just plain crazy.

The data is increasing that current trend of vaping is worse as far as the lungs are concerned due to the higher ignition temperatures, but of course, it will take another 10 years to conclude the degree. Three of my 4 brothers and my father died from smoking induced cancer and the 4th brother is scared still after 15 years of quitting. I was lucky to see the trend before I started and my mother and grandmother kept me straight. Jim

I'm almost 54, never smoked, never used drugs, but yet I'm feeling the effects of age. To try to contain these effects, my wife and I are running. We participated in the first marathon last November. I ran 42km and she 21km.
I have noticed that this activity has greatly helped our health.
    Maybe AU55?
