Hello, I have a question about 1983-90 lincoln cents. Why are there so many "struck thru's" of this time period?

It may be because 1983 was the year the mint went to the junk zinc with the copper plating cents. in 1982 a few of the zinc cents were made and from 1983 until now they are copper plated zinc.

they may have had to use extra grease because the copper plated zinc got stuck in the dies easier? to be honest im not really sure but thats my guess...

I haven't seen any from that time period, but I have seen a lot of them from the dates 1995-2000
