    Hi Brian,

    These are yet some other examples of very interesting coins, especially the 1/12 thaler of Pomerania. It shows the initials of the Swedish king Adolf Frederik, as Pomerania was a Swedish possesion since 1637. It also shows theking's motto: "Salus publica salus mea", which means "The good of the people is my good".
    On the reverse you see the denomination: 12 einen reichsthaler nach dem Leipziger fus or 1/12 thaler following the standard of Leipzig.

    The Hesse-Cassel 1/24 thaler shows the rampant lion, which is in the weapon of this electorate.

    Very beautiful and interesting coins. They always show a bit of their countries history. I like that.
