A couple 1972 Pennies

    Both look to me like they were struck with worn dies.

    I'm pretty sure both of these coins exhibit the master die doubling of 1972. I'm positive the 1st coin does. They are technically doubled dies, just exceedingly common. All of the working hubs were created from 2 master dies. One of the master dies was closely doubled. It's thought that up to 60% of all the cents struck in 1972 show this doubling (all mints P, D, & S). Therefore, no premium is associated with it. It's easily seen on the N in IN & the RT in LIBERTY.
