I recently acquired 998 Sequential $1 star notes from my bank still banded together (10 bands altogether with the last two notes not star notes). They're in my safe at home but I think I recall them being a recent series with a not-so-low serial number. I was wondering if you guys out there know if this is even a rare thing to find... I have always saved the random star note that I would find here and there but nothing like this. They are all in pristine and crisp condition... not a single bent corner. They still have that "new bill" smell. Do you think that they are worth any more than face value? Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks!!

It all depends on the series.

The bills are series 2003A (too recent, I fear, for any real value over face). The serial numbers start at B11469001 and the New York, NY Branch (B2) issued them.
    Thanks for the input!

    Cool...

I collect NY notes from 1914 through current...
You are correct the 2003 A is recent and at most you may get 10% over face or .10 cents each.

they may be recent, but not alot of folks see crisp star notes, let alone a whole band of $100 ... Super cool find for face value :)
